subequal, bearing 1 oppositely placed squamella within; corolla infundibuliform, white, without appendages, the tube slightly gibbous to straight, the limb 5-lobed, dextrorsely convolute; stamens 5, included, the anthers connivent and agglu- tinated to the stigma, with an enlarged connective, characterized by a vertical crest; gynoecium 2-carpellate, apocarpous, the ovary superior, the ovules many, the nectaries connate basally, unequally 4-lobed, the style 1, the stigma fusiform- capitate.
