Shrubs, or small trees, lacticiferous (?). Leaves ternate or quadrate, rarely opposite, non-glandular, pinnately-nerved; petiolate, estipulate, sometimes glan- dular in the axils. Inflorescences thyrsiform, axillary or sub-terminal, many- flowered.
