Inflorescence an axillary raceme or panicle. Bracts and bracteoles present. Calyx 5-lobed or appearing 4-lobed by the union of the upper pair of lobes. Vexillum with 2 inflexed auricles. Stamens mono or diadelphous, vexillary stamen usually fused with the tube, sometimes free, anthers uniform. Ovary multiovulate, style curved, stigma small, capitate. Fruit linear, many-seeded, pubescent.
