General/Distribution: A poorly defined genus of about 6 species in the tropics of Asia. Apparently adapted for nocturnal moth pollination. Represented in Pakistan by 1 species.

Lianas, the stems silvery-white pubescent when young. Leaves cordate to ovate-cordate, silky-whitish pubescent below, some glabrescent. Flowers axillary, in 1-3-flowered cymes. Sepals ovate to oblong, equal or unequal. Corolla white, salverform. The style with a linear-oblong, 2-lobed stigma. Fruit indehiscent, nearly dry, sometimes dehiscent and breaking irregularly. Seeds enclosed within a mealy pulp, at least when dry, glabrous.
