General/Distribution: About 10 species, mostly in Central and S.W.Asia; only 1 species recorded from Pakistan.
Comment/Acknowledgements: This is another genus hardly distinct from Isatis and should be merged with it. The only distinguishing character seems to be the presence of a very short style.

Very similar to Isatis L. in habit, leaves, inflorescence and flower characters but siliculae with a short and distinct style. Siliculae usually ovate or suborbicular, laterally compressed with broad, coarsely veined wings, and short distinct, persistent style; locule ± ovoid, indehiscent, without a septum, with a single seed; radicle incumbent.
