General/Distribution:
A small genus of about 12 species. The delimitation against Paraquilegia is still not quite clear. The present treatment follows the results of Wang & Hsiao and of Tamura & Lauener. According to this concept, only 1 species is found in Pakistan.

Perennial, not caespitose. Stem branched, slender, with leaves. Leaves ternate with pinnate segments. Sepals white, petaloid. Petals flat or slightly concave, with a very short stipe. Fruit consisting of 1-5 free follicles.
