Perennial herbs with long creeping stolons, rooting at nodes. Leaves ternate, petiole long, alternate on stolons. Stipules persistent at the base of petioles. Leaf blades dentate. Flowers unisexual, solitary, axillary. Petals 5, yellow, obovate, sepals 5, green, triangular, epicalyx 3-5 toothed, , alternating with sepals. Stamens and carpels numerous. Receptacle enlarging into multiple fruit, fleshy with achenes seated on it – drupetum.
