Basal leaves numerous, rosulate, somewhat fleshy; petiole obsolete or short; leaf blade oblong or narrowly to broadly lanceolate, (1–)1.5–5(–9) cm × (2–)4–10(–15) mm, both surfaces glabrous, margin serrate, ciliate with subsetose simple trichomes to 0.7 mm, apex acute; cauline leaves narrowly to broadly oblong or ovate, 0.6–2.5(–4) cm × 2–7(–10) mm, gradually reduced in size upward, ciliate-subsetose, glabrous, sessile, margin serrate, apex acute. Racemes corymbose, elongated in fruit; bracts present throughout or only along lowermost portion, similar to cauline leaves but smaller; fruiting pedicel divaricate, straight or rarely slightly recurved, (2–)4–12(–15) mm. Sepals erect, ovate to broadly oblong, caducous, (1.5–)2–2.5 × 1.2–1.7(–2) mm, base usually not saccate; petals yellow, narrowly obovate to spatulate, 3.5–5(–6.5) × 1.5–2.5(–3) mm, narrowed to clawlike base, apex rounded to subemarginate; filaments (1.5–)2–2.5(–3) mm; anthers ovate, (0.4–)0.5–0.7 mm; nectar glands confluent, subtending bases of all filaments; ovules 6–12 per ovary. Fruit oblong to ellipsoid or ovate, compressed, 5–8 × (2–)3–5 mm; valves glabrous, acute at apex; style subconical, 0.6–1 mm; stigma entire. Seeds brown, ovate, compressed, 1.8–2 × 1.3–1.5 mm.
