Subshrubs, 2–10 cm tall, densely tomentose throughout with sessile, stellate, 4–6-rayed trichomes 0.1–0.4 mm in diam. Stems several from woody caudex, woody, creeping then ascending, covered leaves of previous years. Basal leaves rosulate; petiole-like base 0.5–2 mm; leaf blade obovate to spatulate, 5–15 ´ 3–5 mm, whitish abaxially, greenish adaxially, base attenuate to cunear, margin subentire or with 1 or 2 teeth on each side, apex subacute; cauline leaves similar to basal, not auriculate. Racemes ebracteate; fruiting pedicels divaricate, 4–7 mm, straight to slightly curved, slender, tomentose. Sepals oblong, 4–5 mm, tomentose; petals white, obovate, 8–13 ´ 4–6 mm; claw 2–4 mm long; filaments ca. 4 mm; anthers ca. 1 mm. Fruit broadly linear, 1.7–3 cm ´ 3–4 mm; valves tomentose, slightly torulose; gynophore 0.5–3 mm long; style 0.5–2 mm long. Seeds brown, ovate to suborbicular, 3–5 ´ 2.5–3 mm; wing to 0.3–1 mm wide.

Habitat: rocky slopes.
Distribution: Kazakhstan (Karatau Mts.).
