Perennial, densely caespitose herbs; rootstock not thick; scapes 6-15 cm long, aphyllous (rarely 1-leaved at branching point, if any), erect or ascending. Radical leaves densely rosulate, narrowly linear, 10-15 mm long, 1-1.5 mm broad, sessile, entire, slightly rigid, 1-veined, margin setose with simple to forked hairs. Racemes 5-10-flowered, corymbose, becoming lax in fruit. Flowers 3-4 mm across, yellow; pedicels 4-6 mm long in fruit, filiform, glabrous. Sepals c. 2 mm long. Petals c. 3.5 mm long. Stamens c. 2: 2.5 nun long. Siliculae 5-10 mm long, 2.5-3.5 mm broad, oblong-elliptic, compressed, subcontorted or straight, glabrous, acute; valves with an obscure mid-vein and reticulate venation; style 0.5-1 mm long with short, subretuse stigma; septum not veined; seeds 6-8 in each locule, c. 1 mm long, oblong-ovate, brown.
