Notes:
This subgenus is found in southern Central America and adjacent northwestern Colombia, and includes several species with relatively small distributions (within Hillia). The species are hummingbird pollinated, and the corollas are funnelform to tubular or swollen with generally six lobes. See the discussion and key on the genus page for more information.
