Flower/Fruit: Fl. Per.: Jan-Feb.
Type: Type: Described from Egypt.
Distribution: Distribution: S. Italy, N. Africa, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Arabia, S. Iran to S. Pakistan.
Comment/Acknowledgements: A very veriable species in leaf size etc., affected by season in dry periods leaves remain smaller and branches become very rigid and sharply tipped but during or after rains, leaves and branches develop with somewhat different appearance in colour and size etc. However, the so called S. Italian Helianthemum sessiliflorum, cannot be maintained as separate species, because the branch and leaf conditions vary according to season; the simple to forked terminal, spikelite cymes vary and cannot be used as a taxonomic character.

A species confined to the dry arid areas of the western parts of our Baluchistan coast, the eastern most limit of this species.
