Notes:

This species is characterized by a shrub and small tree habit, relatively robust leaves (for Chiococca), short inflorescences borne on 5-15 fascicled peduncles in each axil, pale yellow medium-sized corollas, and ellipsoid fruits similar to those of Chiococca nitida, and a habitat in ridge-top and cloud forest. Occasional plants of Chiococca nitida have 2-4 fascicled peduncles in one or a few axils, but Chiococca multipedunculata seems distinct and is separated here. The collector of the type specimen explicitly noted in his field observations that this plant is a different species from Chiococca nitida.

Distribution: Wet ridgetop scrub and cloud forest, 485-1710 m, Guayana.
