Notes:
This species is characterized by its branched shrubby habit; densely clustered, verticillate, sessile, somewhat short, linear leaves; flowers in short cymes borne at upper stem nodes; and short blue to white corollas. The leaves range from opposite to verticillate, and vary in width. The leaves are mostly or all borne along the developed stems, and are erect or weakly spreading. These are leathery and 0.4-1 mm wide, with thickened revolute margins separated by the costa. Declieuxia diamantinae is similar to Declieuxia aspalathoides, with shorter more densely set leaves, and to Declieuxia juniperina, with solitary subsessile flowers. Declieuxia diamantinae is also quite similar in general aspect to Psyllocarpus and Arcytophyllum.
