Raceme in fruit elongated considerably, somewhat congested; central rachis (3–)8–20(–28) cm; fruiting pedicels stout, strongly flattened at base, (2–)2.5–4.5(–6) mm, not whitish, straight, horizontal or occasionally divaricate or slightly reflexed. Petals white or lavender, rarely purple, (5–)6.5–9(–10) mm. Fruits (0.8–)1.5–2.5(–3.3) cm, incurved or sometimes straight, horizontal to divaricate or slightly reflexed; gynophore slender, (0.5–)0.8–3(–4) mm.
Flowering: Jul–Aug.
Habitat: canyons, desert shrub communities, alkaline flats.
Elevation: 1000–2500 m.
Distribution: United States (NE Arizona, W Colorado, NW New Mexico, E Utah).
