Annotation: indicated as a new name but without an direct reference to the basionym. The use of the epithet cinnabarina is consideredto be an indirect reference to the only Mexican orchid at that time with the same epithet, Neottia cinnabarina Lex. The same combination, Spiranthes cinnabarina, was late made by Hemsley with a direct reference to the basionym.
