Notes:
As noted by Mabberley (1999), it is strange that Capuron (1963) was compelled to re-describe this taxon as P. danguyanus and that he indicated that the Danguy's name Corchorus rostratus to be unpublished, all the more so because he annotated the specimens at P with the name "Pseudocorchorus rostratus (Danguy) R.Cap.". His discussion of specimen variation for this sp also contains several errors, suggesting that perhaps the manuscript was completed in rather a hurry. The name P. danguyanus Capuron is illegitimate under the ICBN (Art. 52.1). Apparently a plant of open clearings and river banks in forest.
