Notas
:
The type specimen in Paris is not yet in tropicos: Saboureau 1292
CMT: This species is characterized by its relatively long petioles and long rather lax inflorescences. It is similar in general aspect to Hymenodictyon occidentale and Hymenodictyon glabrum; Razafimandimbison & Bremer (2006: p. 345) present a table of differences between Hymenodictyon embergeri and Hymenodictyon occidentale. Hymenodictyon embergeri is also similar to Hymenodictyon louhavate, which differs mainly in its inflorescences with 2-5 pair of lateral axes, vs. 1 pairs in Hymenodictyon embergeri.
