Habitat :

Mountains. Upper Galilee (Samuelsson, in litteris). Probably casual or misidentified. Rare.

Area distribution :

 E. Mediterranean (Palestine-Turkey).

Notes :

Drawn from an Anatolian specimen.

Pubescent-viscid annual, 10-20 cm. Stems erect, dichotomously branching. Lower leaves oblong-spatulate, obtuse, upper and floral ones smaller, oblong-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate. Inflorescences corymbose, dense. Pedicels shorter than calyx, erect to patulous. Calyx about 1 cm., purple, cylindrical, almost oblong in fruit; teeth ovate to oblong-lanceolate, narrowly white-margined. Petals pink, with obovate limb half as long as calyx, tapering into a long claw. Capsule as long as calyx, oblong. Seeds finely tuberculate. Fl. Spring.
