Annotation: No authorship is given for the names of sections of Psychotria published here, but these are attributed in the Genera Plantarum Rubiaceae (2: 124) to Bentham as author, and the introductory part of Oersted's article attributes the taxonomy "mostly" [mestendeels] to Bentham. Reference to Mapouria Aubl. in the protologue of this section in this Central American flora treatment is not direct, but it is explicit in the Genera Plantarum. Benth. & Hook.f. in the Genera Plantarum included two series, Ebracteatae and Bracteatae.
