Perennial, 10-40 cm tall. Root thick, woody, elongated. Main stem short, condensed; branches numerous from the base. Basal leaves petioled, oval or ovate to broadly spathulate, 3-10 cm long with the petiole, veins 5-7, apices obtuse, mucronate; petiole as long or longer than the lamina; lower leaves short¬er and fewer, lanceolate to oval, sessile or shortly petioled, apex acute, veins 3. Involucral bracts 2-3, linear. Rays 2-6, 1-2 cm long. Involucel of 5 linear bract-lets, as long or longer than the flowering umbellet. Fruit oblong, 3 mm long; ridges not prominent; furrows 2-3-vittate; commissure 4-vittate.
