Notes:
This species is characterized by its rather robust leaves, pyramidal inflorescences with numerous flowers, and rather small corollas. It is similar to
Palicourea calophlebia
of northwestern South America.
Distribution:
Premontane or montane wet forests at ca. 1800 m on the Caribbean slopes of Costa Rica.
