Filaments 20–30 mm long, exserted 14–18 mm from tube; anthers 9–14 mm long, purple; pollen cream. Style arching over stamens, dividing opposite upper 1/3 of anthers, branches ± 8 mm long. Country: South Africa
South African Province: Eastern Cape
Distribution and ecology: restricted to a few sites in Eastern Cape, including Baviaanskloof and the Great Winterhoek, Kouga and Van Staden’s River Mtns; in moist montane situations in seeps, streambanks and shady kloofs; flowering in late spring and early summer.
