Notes: This species is charcterized by its medium-sized elliptic leaves that are rounded at the apex, inflorescences borne on solitary developed peduncles, flower heads with 5-50 flowers and involucres 8-9 mm long, calyx limbs 5-6 mm long, and 5-lobed corollas with tubes 8-10 mm long and lobes 10-12 mm long. It is similar to Schradera costaricensis, with smaller flowers and a range to the north.
Distribution: Wet forest at 300-800 m in southern Central America, in the Cordillera de Talamanaca in southern Costa Rica and western Panama.
