Comment/Acknowledgements:
According to Parker (For.Fl.Punj.ed.3.1956) occasionally cultivated and indigenous in swampy areas from the Jumna eastwards. To be expected in Abbottabad and others similar areas from 700-2300 m. The fruit is edible and acidic to taste.

Elaeagnus umbellate
Thunb. in the larger leaves and fruit.
