Herbs, annual or biennial, hirsute below, glabrous above. Stems 2–5 dm, erect, simple or few from base, branched above. Basal leaves rosulate; petiole 2–6 cm; leaf blade broadly obovate to elliptic in outline, entire or few lobed, 3–9 × 2–5 cm, sparsely pubescnt; cauline leaves short petiolate, pinnately lobed, gradually reduced in size and entire or dentate upward, not auriculate at base. Racemes lax, elongated in fruit; fruiting pedicels horizontal to subdivaricate, 7–13 mm, slender, glabrous. Sepals oblong, 3–3.3 × 1.2–1.5 mm; petals white, obovate, 5–6.5 × 2–2.5 mm, entire; claw glabrous; filaments glabrous, 3–3.5 mm; anthers oblong, ca. 1 mm. Fruit linear, 2–3 cm × 0.5–0.8 mm, terete, straight; valves glabrous; gynophore 1–2 mm; stigma slightly 2-lobed. Seeds oblong, 0.6–0.9 ´ 0.5–0.6 mm, wingless; cotyledons incumbent.
Flowering: Feb–Mar.
Habitat: slopes and canyon walls.
Elevation: 900–1000 m.
Distribution. Mexico (Sinaloa).
