Herbs perennial, sometimes woody at base, densely pubescent throughout with subsessile to stalked, (2-)4-7-rayed trichomes 0.1-0.3 mm occasionally with some rays spurred. Stems erect, often single from base, branched above, (2-)2.5-10(-12.5) dm tall, pubescent, sometimes basally with longer-stalked trichomes. Basal leaves not rosulate, soon withered; cauline leaves sessile, auriculate, oblong to lanceolate, 1.5-7(-9) ´ 0.4-1(-1.7) cm, uniformly pubescent, denticulate. Racemes elongated considerably in fruit; fruiting pedicels ascending to suberect, pubescent with subsessile dendritic trichomes, (3-)5-12(-15) mm. Sepals oblong, pinkish, pubescent, 2-2.5 ´ 1-1.3 mm; petals white, spatulate, 3-4.5 ´ 1-1.5 mm; filaments 2-2.5 mm; anthers oblong, 0.7-0.9 mm; ovules 120-190 per ovary. Fruits linear to narrowly oblong, (1.3-)1.8-2.5 cm ´ 2-3 mm; valves pubescent with subsessile trichomes; style 0.5-1 mm. Seeds oblong, biseriate, 0.7-0.9 ´ 0.4-0.5 mm.
