Note: Fay & Fay 3204 (MO-5045402) was designated as "lectotype" of Blechnum aequatoriense by Murillo-A & Triana-Moreno (2022; Phytotaxa 572: 271), who contended that Rojas (in the protologue) "did not select the holotype from the two available specimens"; however, the two sheets at MO are clearly labeled ("Sheet 1 of 2" and "Sheet 2 of 2") as parts of the same specimen (see ICN Art. 8.3), so lectotypification is not warranted on that basis
