Notes:
This species is characterized by its medium=sized elliptic leaves with short petioles, small stipules, axillary inflorescences with 1-2 shortly pedunculate, shortly pedicellate flowers, well developed truncate calyx limb, white corollas with the tube a little longer than the lobes, and oblate fruits. Faramea biflora is similar in Brazil to Faramea oligantha, Faramea pedicellaris, and Faramea coerulea.
