Distribution: Distribution: Tieh Shan, Baltistan, Western Tibet, Ladak, Sikkim.
Comment/Acknowledgements: A distinct plant of high altitudes (over 4400 m) forming large cushions almost 30 cm across.

Densely pulvinate, glabrous. Stem branched, spreading, densely covered with, leaves. Leaves 2-3 x 2-2.5 mm, ovate, acuminate, the apex and margin thickened. Flowers shortlty pedicelled, terminal, solitary. Calyx c. 2.5 mm long, teeth ovate-lanceolate, acute with broad hyaline margin. Petals greenish, oblong, shorter thaw calyx.
