Evolvulus sericeus Sw., Prodr. 55. 1788.

Hierbas perennes; tallos herbáceos, decumbentes a erectos, generalmente gris seríceos. Hojas lineares, linear-lanceoladas a elípticas, 1–2.5 cm de largo y 1–8 mm de ancho, pubescentes o a veces glabras en la haz. Flores generalmente solitarias o axilares, ocasionalmente en grupos de 2 o más, pediceladas a subsésiles; sépalos oblongo-lanceolados a lanceolados, 3–5 mm de largo, seríceos; corola ampliamente campanulada, 7–12 mm de ancho, blanca a azul pálida. Frutos globosos a ovoides, 4–5 mm de ancho, reflexos, glabros; semillas lisas, cafés.

Rara, bosques de pino-encinos, zona norcentral; 900–1320 m; fl y fr ago; Moreno 8708, 21963; México hasta Sudamérica.
