Note: This species was attributed to "Panama" by Engelmann, and some subsequent authors (Yuncker), based on a misreading of "Paraná" handwritten on Tweedie's type specimen. Tweedie was never in Panama, but did collect in Paraná and adjacent regions; moreover, this species has never since been found in Panama, though there is at least on other collection from Brazil. Next to the localty name on the holotype specimen of C. trichostyla at K is an anonymous clarification, as "Parana."
