Description
|
Common name: Granadillo. Medium-sized tree with a short bole and a spreading crown to 20 m. ht. dbh 70 cm. Snake bark blotched olive green, grey brown and cream white, smooth, inner bark greenish. Leaves slightly discolorous and mid green above paler below. Flowers strongly scented of Lilly of the Valley, arranged on short erect compact racemes. Calyx pale greenish yellow, recurved, petals bright yellow, the banner mottled orange in centre, stamens pale yellow green and hairy, anthers orange.
