2. Zigadenus nuttallii A. Gray ex S. Watson (death camas)

Plants not glaucous. Sepals and petals 6–8 mm long, usually free from the base of the ovary, ovate, narrowed to short, stalklike bases, creamy white, turning light greenish yellow after flowering, each with a yellow, unlobed gland on the upper (inner) surface near the base of the expanded portion. 2n=32. May.

Uncommon, known thus far only from Oregon County (Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas). Dolomite glades.
