Annotation: This name cited as "Rachicallis maritima (Jacq.) K. Schum.", without citation or any evident reference to a basionym ; the only Rubiaceae species described by Jacquin with the epithet "maritima" is Strumpfia martima, which is morphologically simlar but which Schumann also accepted and treated separately.
Nomenclature Reason: Nom. illeg. superfl., this cannot be considered a combination and the older, legitimate name Rachicallis rupestris (Sw.) DC. was cited in synonymy.
