Annotation: Name validated by publication of the illustration with analysis, pl. 28, 25 May 1841. The name on the plate is Gordonia ovalis, while the name in the textual description, Verh. Nat. Gesch. Ned. Bezitt. Bot. 140, is Closaschima ovalis, published 14 Feb 1842 (see ICN Art. 41.4). This latter name should be trated as a combination based on Gordonia ovalis.
