The correct application of the name and its typification remain uncertain, and 2 conflicting points of view do not appear to have been resolved (Castillon, 2020; Haevermans & Hetterscheid, 2021), see also Castillon (2021).

Haevermans & Hetterscheid (2021) argue for the inclusion of  E. horombensis Ursch & Leandri as a synonym of E. leandriana, while Castillon (2021) argues for maintaining E. horombensis as a distinct species. This question has not been evaluated for this treatment, and we retain the latter name pending further clarification.
