Description
|
Shrubs or small trees, to 8 m high, the branchlets slender, appressed- lepidote at first. Inflorescences terminal, small, tripinnately paniculate, pyramidal, 4-9 cm long, lepidote at first, gla- brate. Flowers umbellate or subcorymbose, 5-merous, the pedicels rigid, 3-6 mm long; sepals ovate, 1.4-2 mm long, rounded apically, punctate with rounded small glands, these orange and black, minutely erose; petals (in bud) 5.5 mm long, connate ca. 1 mm basally, densely punctate mostly with small rounded orange and red-black glands, the blackish glands dispersed; stamens (in bud) 3.5 mm long, the filaments 1 mm long, the anthers concol- orous, lanceolate-oblong, 2.5 mm long; ovary glabrous, the ovules small, numerous, pluriseriate, the style slender, 5 mm long, recurved after anthesis. Fruit depressed-globose.
