Notes:
Described from Mauritius, and accepted for Madagascar by Scott (1984), who regarded N. setaceus as a synonym. However, it is doubtful whether material referred to the later sp from Africa is really conspecific. Both names were published simultaneously (at sp level). In Madagascar it is known from few localities at low to mid elevation.
