Description Small epiphytic herbs 8-25 cm. tall, with basal leaves. Leaves short-petiolate; lamina 3-13 cm. long and 0.8-2.8 cm. broad, elliptic, acute; petiole 1-4 cm. long. Inflorescence 2-8 cm. long, the flowers often unilateral. Dorsal sepal 5-6 mm. long and 1-1.5 mm. broad, lanceolate, acute or acuminate, pubescent at the base dorsally. Lateral sepals 5-6.5 mm. long and 1-1.8 mm. broad, linear-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate-triangular, acute, pubescent at the base dorsally. Petals 4-5 mm. long and 0.5-1 mm. broad, linear to narrowly elliptic, acute or obtuse, co- herent to the dorsal sepal. Lip 5-7 mm. long and 2-3 mm. broad, narrowly ob- long-pandurate to lanceolate-ovate and constricted toward the apex; apical lobe oblong to transversely oval or reniform, bicaudate at the base, the caudae retrorse or incurved.
Distribution Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama.
