Terrestres, c. 75 cm. Hojas varias, en la mitad del tallo, las bases envainadoras, la lámina 10-20 × 2.1-4.3 cm, elíptica o elíptico-lanceolada, aguda, decreciendo hasta brácteas distalmente. Racimo 20-30 cm; brácteas florales 17-24 × 3-5 mm, elíptico-lanceoladas, acuminadas. Flores verdes o color crema-verdoso; ovario y pedicelo c. 26 mm; sépalo dorsal c. 6 × 5-6 mm, ampliamente ovado, obtuso, cuculado; sépalos laterales 6-7 × 3.1-3.2 mm, falcado-oblongos; pétalos 4-5 × 2.5-4 mm, subcuadrado-oblongos con un diente ventral prominente 1-2 mm desde la base, apicalmente truncado, someramente 3-dentado; labelo ligulado, 7-11 × c. 1.5 mm, subespatulado apicalmente, el espolón 26-27 mm; columna c. 3 mm. Floración oct. Bosques montanos bajos húmedos. P (de Nevers et al. 8502, MO). 1200-1500 m. (Mesoamérica, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú).
