Leaves mostly basal, leaf sheaths terete, basal most sheaths, bulb absent, basal sheaths persistent; flag-leaf sheath margins fused ca. 1/8--2/7 the length; blades flat, moderately thick, soft, straight, mostly basal, prow-tipped.
