A lax caespitose perennial in patches 10–18 cm or more broad, stoloniferous. Stolons 1/node, up to 20 mm long, slender, brown to brownish-red, pubescent to subglabrous. Leaves in dense rosettes 4–8 mm broad, pale green, 3–8 x 1.5–3 mm, oblong-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate to subspathulate, glabrous, acute to subobtuse, margin whitish, setose-ciliate, mucronate. Scape (2–) 12 (–18) mm long, (1–) 2–6-flowered, glandular-pubescent. Bracts 2.5–4.5 mm long, broad lauceolate-obtuse, pubescent-glandular, ciliate, exceeding the pedicel. Flowers pale pink with a red eye. Calyx ½–1/3 rd cleft, subglobose to campanulate, pubescent; lobes 1.5–2 mm long, pubescent, ciliate. Corolla limb 6–7 mm broad; lobes ± obovate, 2.5–3 mm long, apex often bibbed, throat annulate. Anthers less than 1 mm long. Ovary c. 1.1 mm broad. Capsule ovaloid, included in the calyx. Seeds 2, angular, 1–2 mm long, dark brown, vesiculose.
