Note: Steyermark (1972: 543) noted that the protologue contains a typographical error, the correct number of the single type collection given by Bentham is 945; Delprete & Kirkbride, 2016: 428-429, lectotypified this name: they cited Steyermark as correcting the correction number and this action as a first-step lectotypification, wiithout explanation for why, and simultaneously cited their own desgination as a first-step lectotypification i.e., not second-step), K [K000174266]; isotype: BM n.v.), without explanation as to why the single specimen at K that came from Bentham's own herbarium cannot be considered the holotype of this name
