Notes:
This species has a rather slender hirtellous to glabrescent habit, oblanceolate petiolate leaves, cymose pedunculate inflorescences, pedicellate flowers, rotate white corollas ca. 11 mm long, and somewhat large suglobose fruits. Hoffmannia nesiota is the only other species of this genus known from Cocos Island, and is generally similar but more robust.
