Habitat: usually on the ground in alpine forest.
Distribution: endemic to China.

general taxon notes:
The leaves of this species are mostly straight, not secund. This character is obviously different from that of other species in the genus.

3. Leptopterigynandrum subintegrum (Mitt.) Broth. 全缘叉羽藓 quan-yuan cha-yu xian
Nat. Pflanzenfam. (ed. 2), 11: 309. 1925. Heterocladium subintegrum Mitt., J. Proc. Linn. Soc., Bot., Suppl. 1:135. 1859. Type. India: northwestern Himalayas, temperate region, Simla, T. Thomson s.n. (holotype NY).

 

Plants slender, rigid, brownish green, in dense mats. Stems creeping, irregularly pinnately branched, with straight branches. Stem leaves and branch leaves identical, loosely imbricate when dry, ovate or ovate-triangular, tapering gradually to a narrow point; margins entire, revolute at the base; costa double, up to the middle of leaf; median leaf cells rhomboidal to rounded oval; alar cells rounded quadrate or oblong. Sporophytes unknown.
