Notes:
Ecology: Upper montane forest and shrubby páramo; epiphytic, on shrubs and trunk and branches of treelets and trees. Elevation: 3100-4300 m (Colombia: 3700 m, Ecuador: 3100-4300 m). Distribution: Mexico, Central America south to Colombia and Ecuador.
 
Ecología: Bosque montano superior y páramo arbustivo; epífita, sobre arbustos, y troncos y ramas de arbolillos y árboles. Elevación: 3100-4300 m (Colombia: 3700 m, Ecuador: 3100-4300 m). Distribución: México, Centroamérica hacia el sur hasta Colombia y Ecuador.
 
This species is distinguished by leafy stems covered with paraphyllia to 2 mm long and plane generally undulate leaves. Neckera ehrenbergii was previously placed in the genus Neckeradelphus based on the presence of conspicuous paraphyllia, a feature shared with both N. andina and N. obtusifolius. Neckera spruceana Mitt. is a synonym.
 
Neckera ehrenbergii fue ubicada previamente en el género Neckeradelphus en base a la presencia de paráfilos conspicuos, un rasgo que comparte con N. andina y con N. obtusifolius. Neckera spruceana Mitt. es un sinónimo.
