Plants small, delicate, soft, light green or yellowish green, glossy, in loosely caespitose mats. Stems prostrate, to 1.0–1.5 cm long, irregularly branched. Leaves erect-spreading to somewhat widely spreading, ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate, 0.20–0.35 mm × 0.06–0.09 mm, acuminate at apex; margins serrulate throughout, more densely so near the base; costae absent or indistinct; median leaf cells rhomboidal, 20–40 mm × 6–7 mm; alar cells few, quadrate or rectangular. Dioicous. Sporophytes not seen.
