Notes:
In addition to the 4 spp that are known to have been naturalized in Madagascar, several others are known in cultivation for their edible fruits and/or decorative flowers, and it is likely that some of these may also have become locally naturalized. The taxonomy of these widely distributed plants is complex, and the identity and delimitation of the plant referred to here as P. subpeltata is in need of further study throughout its global range.
