Deciduous shrubs. Leaves opposite, entire or pinnatisect, ovate to lanceolate, petiolate or subsessile. Calyx tubulate, subtruncate to 4-dentate, persistent, 1-2 mm long. Corolla funnel- to salver-shaped, lobes 4. Stamens 2, inserted at the upper parts of the corolla. Fruit a capsule. Seed winged.
